How the Calculation Works

One day is exactly 86,400,000 milliseconds. To find a past time, the tool adds (subtracts) that number of milliseconds to your current timestamp and formats the result in your time zone. Because the arithmetic happens in milliseconds, it stays exact across AM/PM changes, midnight, and month boundaries.
